Twins with technology

Scott and I got new iPhones for Christmas (hooray!) so the girls have inherited our old generation phones. I've deleted everything from the phones and filled them with fun apps like "Nick Jr.'s A-Z," "Giraffe's Preschool Playground," Dora's ABCs," LunchBox Preschool" and "Dr. Seuss's ABCs." They LOVE to play on their "phones" and have learned a lot. It's pretty funny to see two toddlers walking around with iPhones. What's next, laptops at preschool!? :)

Bringing color into the dull gray of winter

This winter has been particularly rough, as Lauren and Whitney LOVE being outside and going places. The snow and ice we've already gotten this winter (and it's only February) has kept us housebound for a few days at a time. So, to bring some color into our day, I let the girls go wild with their paints, markers and crayons. It brightens their day and mine. We can't wait for Spring!!

Totter's Otterville

This summer I bought 4 passes to a place called Totter's Otterville from Groupon. I'd sort of forgotten about them until we were housebound from snow for a few days. My neighbor and I decided to take our kids to get out of the house, and let them blow off some of that pent-up steam from staying home for so long.

Needless to say, they LOVED it! The place is HUGE and has a million things to do...

...a ball pit (which we loved most of all)

do-it-yourself face painting...

a grocery store...

a pizza joint...

an art room...

and big climbing areas with slides.

We plan to go back a lot, so feel free to join us!

First snow of 2010

Today was the first day it wasn't FREEZING cold, so we got to go play in the snow!

...and eat some ice...

After we played outside, we had to come in, put on our warm PJs and share our adventure with Santa.

Christmas Eve

Christmas has ALWAYS been my favorite holiday. The feeling of peace, the lights, the excitement of the holiday... and the Clidences make it even more special. Christmas was especially exciting for us this year, as Scott had the entire week off and the girls had officially discovered Santa.

Our tradition is, church, dinner, family photo, open gifts. We're usually up until midnight or so but it's so worth it, just to spend that much time with everyone.
