The girls are growing quite fond of each other! They hold hands, touch each others faces...I'll long for these lovey days in about 2 years, I'm sure. :)

Another lazy Sunday...

Lauren was enjoying some lengthy tummy time today, when I realized she was rubbing her face in a puddle of spit up. Once her face started getting cold, she stopped enjoying tummy time so much.

We rarely like to lay on the floor (too much going on, we might miss something!), so we are either in the swing, sling or on the couch under Mommy's watchful eye. Since Whitney is getting so good at sitting up though, we've started sitting on the floor. Guess what we're starting to notice...we have these funny things at the end of our legs...with 5 little dots on each. FEET!

Mommy and Daddy left us with our grandma and grandpa Clidence for a week and went to Florida for some R&R. While they were away, they had lots of fun...and while we were at g'ma and g'pa Clidence's, we grew!

This rainbow that Mommy spied landed right on the condo. She says it was a sign of good things to come for the week!

Daddy caught a big fish, as usual...


...but Mommy caught the bigger fish including a shark, a marlin and this giant redfish! Mommy always catches better fish than Daddy.


Daddy took Mommy to a nice restaurant so she could fix her hair and wear makeup for a change. They had a good time while they were gone, but were so glad to get home to see us. Mommy didn't cry too hard when she left. :)

Since my dumb acid reflux is acting up again, Mommy put together the high chair her ex-coworkers bought us. It's nice...it has toys on it that light up and go 'round. But for now, I'm just excited to eat my new favorite, sweet peas!

HOORAY! We tried sweet peas today and guess what? SUCCESS! Lauren (who is picky by nature already) LOVED them and ate 3/4 of the cup by herself!


Since Whitney has acid reflux so bad, I wasn't going to give her as much as hoggy Lauren, so she just got the remaining 1/4 of the cup. At first, we weren't sure...


...but, after a few bites, we decided that sweet peas were pleasing!
Our new song: "Peas are so good. Feed me peas please. Peas are so pleasing, feed me peas, PLEASE!" Yes, the girls enjoy my fine songwriting skills.

I try not to plop the girls in front of the TV too often - for hopes that's not all they want to do when they're older - but sometimes when Mommy needs to pump, wash bottles, do laundry, work, clean, or the 10,000 other things she has to fit into a 24-hour day, the TV gets to babysit. Today, the girls were rather interested in Mickey Mouse. Although they prefer their "Law & Order" or "House" reruns, Mickey got the job done this morning.

We are attempting to feed the girls cereal every day now. It's an organic rice cereal that only has one ingredient - rice - and was grown and packaged with no pesticides, additives, etc. Since Whitney has mean acid reflux and tends to be a bit gassy (she gets that from Daddy, I suspect), I wanted to get something a little less likely to cause any further tummy troubles for her.

Lauren is less than thrilled with the thought of anything other than her beloved milk.

While Whitney napped, Lauren and I tested our photography skills before the big shoot. Lauren insisted she wear her sunglasses for the event. She also wears them at night. :::insert music here!:::
