Couch potato

With no shirt, remote in-hand and drool...you'd think she was a typical man. :)

Shiny happy people

Whitney and Lauren now smile constantly. Not only at mom, dad, the air...but everything! I caught this one of Whitney, smiling at her friend, the ceiling fan.

In her shoes

These shoes are my FAVORITE. A gift from "Aunt" Meshawn, these skull and crossbone shoes let all the neighborhood kids know who's in charge!!

Is solace anywhere more comforting...

...than in the arms of a sister? - Alice Walker

Scott took these pictures yesterday. The girls can look so loving toward each other sometimes - I hope they end up being the best of friends. :)

Slobber and double-chin city!

"Holding" hands. Usually Whitney tries to rip Lauren's fingers off, but they played nice today.

Sleepy heads.

To sleep, to dream

"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."
- Dr. Seuss

I finally have the last finishing touches on the girls' room done. One of my MIL's friends had this "Twins" decal made for me and it's awesome! I love it. The girls are sleeping through the night now, in their own cribs. I'm not sure how much they actually enjoy their room yet, but I love to be in it.

Grandpa Clidence made this bookshelf for the girls. We have books that my mom read when she was a girl, books Scott and I read when we were little (among them, my FAVORITE Richard Scary book) and new ones that people bought us for my showers.

Keeping them busy

I was cleaning my bathroom today and sat the girls up on my bed. The TV was on and of course, Law & Order reruns were tuned on. Yes, watching hours and hours of L&O whilst pregnant has left the girls with a fondness for my crime TV. Looks like we'll be replacing these shows with Signing Times and kiddy TV soon. Whitney is donning one of my favorite onsies...it says "peas on earth" and has a little world with 3 peas stacked on top. The girls have it made if mommy entertains this easily. :)

Trying for 6-pack abs

The girls are really starting to notice things like toys, colors and rattling noises. One of their new favorite spots is under the play gym. Lauren is particularly pleased with how her flailing arms hit the noise makers!

Smiles and Frowns

The girls are starting to laugh and smile so much! I love it...sometimes they let out a laugh so loud it scares them!

Of course, we are not without the occasional puckered bottom lip.

Quiet, I'm thinking.

Whitney loves to sit in the Boppy and gaze out the window. No doubt she's thinking about her acceptance speech when she wins the Nobel Peace Prize.

Nap time

The most comfortable place in the house to sleep, is on Daddy. Yes, it's true. You fall in-love all over again when you see your husband with your children. He's so smitten with our girls - he's in trouble when they get older! :)
