Pesek's Farm: Bob's birthday

My sister-in-law's dad owns an amazing "farm" near Versailles, Indiana. It's 100+ acres of woods, fields, ponds, and a limestone-bottom creek. The Clidences meet there on occasion to spend the weekend and roam around the property.

This year, the girls were old enough to partake in our many "farm" activities. It was a muddy mess since it's warming up, but they had a blast--and I had fun watching them. Having grown up on a fruit farm, way out in the boonies, it was nice to see my girls enjoying everything the country had to offer. I can't WAIT to go there this summer when we can walk along the creek, play in the pond and hike through the woods.

The beautiful house. 3 bedrooms on the main floor and an entire second level made from cedar and 3-4 more sleeping areas.

When we first got to the farm it was almost 10pm, but Whitney and Lauren got a second wind!

Cousin Andrew was still up, too.

The next day, we played outside ALL day!!

We got SOOO muddy, but mommy didn't care!

Then Uncle David took us on our first (of many that day) 4-wheeler hay ride! It was our favorite thing to do!

We didn't want to get out of the wagon, even when the rides were over!

At one point, we ran out of gas and Uncle David and Cousin Jacob had to carry us all the way back to the house to get more gas!

After the 4-wheeler was fueled up again, ANOTHER RIDE! We couldn't drive, but it was fun to sit on the 4-wheeler!

We came in for lunch and celebrated Papaw Clidence's birthday!

An iPod Touch! HOORAY!!!

A little break before naptime...then doing it ALL over again! We had the BEST time and can't WAIT to go again!

Twinfest II

Melts in your mouth...

I don't often give the girls a lot of crayons to use, since they both like to chew on them. However, we decided to make both Papaw's a birthday gift using our coloring skills.

I THOUGHT we picked up all the crayons and put them in their boxes and back into the high cabinet (where the girls can't reach)...but someone found one--a red one--and had a snack. :::sigh:::

Bedtime Routine

Every evening the girls get their baths, hair combed, teeth brushed and into their PJs. They also get an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They love to cuddle up together on the couch with their "bankits" and relax.

Second Annual (staff formerly known as) WD Party

The Second Annual WD Party was this past weekend and was SO much fun! The girls and I needed, and really enjoyed the company after a miserable past few months. It was great seeing everyone and the kids--almost outnumbering the adults--had a blast!

Everyone brought DELICIOUS snacks including beer bread, dips and chili (thanks Jimmy!)...

Olivia on repeat, was a HUGE hit!

Marking Your Territory

After a week-long cleaning and sanitizing of our house, it was the cleanest it's been since we'd bought it almost 8 years ago. That is, until Lauren decided (literally 10 minutes after the cleaning gal left) to "cowo"--translation: color--the walls of the dining room with her blue crayon. :::sigh::: Thank God for washable Crayola's.
